And yes, I think Wachowskys won't make anything better than first Matrix in future... They will change Blame! to film of action, without any meanings...

I don't think a blame! movie would need to have that comic look, maybe a few colors(but not anything flashy) would improve it.

The ideal director for the BLAME! film, if there ever will be one, is Park Chan Wook. I know he's not exactly a maestro of cyberpunk, but Oldboy's cinematography would suit BLAME! perfectly. Obviously he'd have to have Nihei on set with him, I doubt he'd let Killy go mental with a hammer.

Resurrect Cocteau or Truffaut to film it! They understood the value of silent moments in a movie. Modern filmmakers and modern audiences seem incapable of watching more than a few seconds of silence, whereas Blame is one long meditation on urban solitude.
Del Toro likes Blame? That's cool.
And I didn't know that Miller's 300 is being made into a movie. Fantastic.
