I know a band called "Bloom", sort of ambient trip-hop thing.
The band only last one album and disapeared, but I've read a few critics on the net, and their only album is some of the best of this genre.
All songs have lyrics, except the first one, which I think fits Blame's univers really well. I already uploaded this songs for some other blame fans so (4Mb).
Maybe just not enough dark.
I've also discovered a band recently, well, 2 swedishs guys who do awesome music. This is called Carbon Based Lifeforms, and its great. This is some ambient music, maybe not dark enough for BLAME, but it gives this impression of an unknown place.
Look here for some samples : http://www.ultimae.com/releases/frameset.html?skeud=56
I'll have to check out all the bands you quoted, but for sure I wouldn't want a Korn soundtrack for blame
Not that it's bad, I've listened to them quite a while a few years ago, but it simply isn't what fits the Blame univers, neither Linkin Park.
Someone on a french board said Meshuggah could be good for the fighting/chaotic parts. Maybe some Meshuggah without lyrics.

Well I gotta go with an industrial, somewhat daker techno, and trip hop.
I happed to have something on TV about Nine Inch Nails when I started reading Blame!. I thought that'd be perfect. Other bands that come to mind are Portishead (for more mellow and wondering star moments) and stuff from the Pi soundtrack.
Aw hell, lemme just post my playlist. Most of these worked most of the time. I played them randomly and sometimes would skoip a track if it didn't fit the scene.

Oh and actually one of my favorite tracks from the list is Lux Aeterna Requiem for a Dream (Orchestral Version). Orginally in Requiem for a Dream, this new version was used in the trailer for Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. It's like a dark march with a grand chorus. Very very cool.

i did a experiment, not sure whether it will work for u guys, but to mi it sounds alright, i try reading blame! using Silent Hill3`s sound track, the musics in it, to mi is really 'dark', tt`s why i choose it to accompany mi while i read
Blame!
There`s a piece of music in it call 'a stray child' i found it quite nice while reading the manga.

I think that for the vol10 the more apropriate music is one of Infected mushroom called Elation Station, I don't know why but I think it combines

When I was reading BLAME! manga I listened Juno Reactor - Luciana it made a fantastic dark sci-fi atmosphere ^_^
Also tried doing it by listening 5F 55, Hallucinogen, Emit, Porter Ricks, Hecate & Lustmord, Aphex Twin.
