Ehehehe, for some reason the Resident Evil soundtrack song "The Fight Song" (By Marilyn Manson/Remixed by Korn) reminds me of Killy fighting and that kind of stuff...but thats probably just me ^^

My personal opinion regarding the music of Blame! is that it seems to suit the OAV just fine -- at times interesting, at times fascinating, but overall very choppy and somewhat inconsistant. Regarding a (hopefully?) much more solid movie, I would rather put solid music to go with it, preferably music that fits the tone of Blame! The first thing that comes to mind is Sielwolf, a somewhat obscure German techno/industrial metal(?) outfit that doesn't seem to exist anymore. Which is a shame, because their Nachtstrom album seems to have nailed the atmosphere of Blame! right on -- cold, stark, mechanized music, a fitting soundtrack for the bleak, desolate doomscape that is blame. Several others in the field of industrial (and, not so coincidentally, industrial metal) I believe should include SWANS(their brilliant Cop and Filth albums), Red Harvest (the song "Last Call" from Cold Dark Matter), Isis's Red Sea, and perhaps P.H.O.B.O.S.'s Tectonics album for the grander moments.
I had more to write, but I don't wanna bore you to death.
P.S. Nihei's favorite band is Korn?
Sad world we live in.

Hey "old man" it would seem we have similar taste in music. However, if we're going for post-rock I'd say the Japanese band Mono has songs that are much more fitting to the BLAME! mood. You should check them out if you haven't already. Here's their web page (requires flash):
The songs are pretty long so the samples there might not do them justice, but it's better than nothing.
