finally i got to read this amazing book, and i must say it's one of the best sci-fi books i've read so far (not that i've read a lot)
It adds a lot of details and background knowledge to the blame world when you know that it has been one of the sources of inspiration for nihei.
And apart from the amazing science fiction it also has some very humorous parts, too, only thinking of the young asura makes me grin

Banks? Wow, that's one of my fave writers recently! ^^ Thanks. I'll surely read it.

Yes, I noticed the similarities between FE and Blame immediately. The book is also quite original in its phonetic writing style (half of it anyway). It messes with your mind, but your mind likes it.
As for Iain M. Banks, if you like his writing style then I would recommend The Player of Games and Use of Weapons as his best sci-fi work. Excession is a very good action space opera, but much lighter on the drama.

I couldn't download the book, the site didn't open, both with Firefox or IE. Can someone please send me via email? Thanks!
