Hello, I am a newbie to your board. I live in Arizona and I've been making models for years and a friend of mine and I are considering making the GBE gun. I am considering a making the master pattern and then making copies in polyurethane resin. Some samples of other models I have made. Ghostbusters proton pack 1/1 scale. many of the parts are laser cut an what i couldn't make with laser cut parts a scratch built. Nighmare Before Halloween sidewalk in front of Jacks house display. The vampire is an action figure. Mad Max badge with laser etched lettering. Not 100% accurate but still nice for what it is. Blasty gun. |

That would certainly be a sweet as hell project. I tried to sculpt a GBE a few months ago and the results were rough at best. It would seem you are far better equipped for this task! Please keep us informed ![]() |

Oh shxx those are nice. Someday, I need to make or guy a proton pack. I know many people, including your awesome one there, have done it. Yet, DAMMIT, it's a xxxxing proton pack! I had the cheap plastic toy one as a kid. I sure the hell want a replica one as an adult. Those movies are brilliant and the props in them are awesome. As for the GBE, a friend of mine made one for my Killy costume. Right now he's working on a version 2.0 as the one I have is a rush job. Dunno if he's going to be selling them. He has started a prop compnany. (Dunno if I can or should post a link to it. You can find him at many cons selling.) I know he's also working on Keyblades to sell. In the past he made a Berserk dragonslaper for a Guts cosplayer. He made a Inuyasha boomerang for a friend. He's also planning on Gantz guns because I showed them to him and he thought they were awesome. Unfortunately, the Wolfwood Cross Punisher never got finished for a Trigun group friends and I were going to be in. Though I belive it's still in the pipeline. The good and bad of it is he can often make things complicated with many working parts. He also has been wanting to make Millie stun gun. He has a friend who's now working ont he costume now anyway, so that likley will happen. His dream project is like a ten foot or so Big O costume. Of course that's gonna be over $1000, hence why he's trying to make some money selling props and headbands. Who knows, someday he might get reconized by a special effects company. (Fxxx movies with all CGI effects!) He doesn't quite have as many things as you have. For making props, he uses different methods. I remember him cutting sheets of some sort of bulletproof plastic to make the CBE. He sealed it up with a chemical that melted the plastic together. He put lights inside, but they were kinda dim. Still for a rushed job it turned out awesome. You can check out the GBE and some in progress shots . |

Hey guys, I wanted to add that I've seen the St-Louis Kid's proton pack in person and as crazy as it sounds the pictures do not do it justice... It's amazing! |
