-yey first topic! ^-^- Asumingly everyone here read volume 10, yus? Well, out of the 5+ times I've read the whole serioes over (and over XD), I never once got the part of Cibo and Sanakan making an Embryo. I mean it's a really awesome kick-ass idea and all, but seriously. I don't care if it's 2,000 years in the milenium, humanity (machinary, whatever) can't naturally make a child of same-gender. It's physichally impossible. D: Nihei-San could have AT LEAST explained that one. .____. Now, Cibo or Sanakan having a child with KILLY would make complete sense, but noooo. Just another way for a Manga to screw our brains over. XD Ideas, anyone? A clue? D: [/side] I wonder what that kid's gunna look like. Or how he/she's going to hear the explanation of "two momies" XD |

Well, I think that a problem even greater is: what is a human being for Nihei? I mean, is Cibo in her last form is human? You see, if you aren't a human you don't need to have a gender, or, with very advanced technology even humans don't need. Anyway, if I'm not mistaken, in the cloning process you don't need a male. But, for the child, worse than have two mommies is to be called "son of a safeguard". =D |

well for one thing, the orb that contains the embryo is synthesized, it's not a nutural one. Perhaps what Nihei was hinting at is that Cibo had 1/2 of the data for a complete human with Net Terminal Genes and that Sanakan brought out the other half (being a safeguard herself she may have had access to such information). Another thing to take into considderation is that a female has two X chromosomes while a male only has one. It is thus possible to engineer a female human from the reproductive substances of two females. In any case, they certainly didn't use a traditional way of reproduction, being as it is that they both have cyborg bodies. |
