I think biomega and Bame ar in the same worlds or better said they are in the same universe since the world changes dramatically

I see the key in that mutagenic substance in Biomega or whateever it is that can turn buildings in licing things just like the safeguard can download living things in solid structures. And maybe that is the thing that made the transformation and construction of the megastructure at all possible.
Then there is Toha heavy industries and the oversized gravity beam emmiter that Kanoe uses in Biomega and is also said that he is the living battery for it....just like killy for his..
Also doesnt any of you think that the thing in page 172 from log 5 the escape is a war engine crashed in a building???

even more......Mizunoe in fighting the war engine trransforms her arm in something very very Safeguardlike
and more....She has something built in her arm that resembles a GBE and it also looks like the Safeguard level 9's hand when it shot Dhomochevsky's head off.


As for the question what Killy is and how he relates to Zouichi well they both appear to be synthetic humans but what that means is unclear
also the connection between Silicon lifeforms or Cyborgs and the Safeguard and Killy alltogether. In noise its written that the Order steals technology from the safeguard to build their things.....but how what and so on...

Esper said that Biomega is obviously not related to BLAME! and couldn't be a prequel because of NOiSE. They also said the names were just reused instead of creating new ones.

I thoroughly disagree with this theory, but here's why.

I read that Biomega is the second prequel to BLAME!. Maybe it isn't a prequel following NOiSE. Maybe it is before even that.

Once when I was really bored, I entered the Names, Killy and Kanoe Zouichi into www.deadnames.com and recieved the same result (Malicious Intent - if anyone was interested). I a bit later I decided that they were extremely similar as well. They have similar haircuts, similar faces and abilities and similar gunslinging skills. I believe that Kanoe Zouichi may even be Killy. Here's why.

Killy is stated to have been around before the Safeguard. The Safeguard is present in NOiSE (but not BIOMEGA). 3300 years pass after the ending of NOiSE and judging by all of the changes, it may even be more millenia before BLAME! takes place.

Also, it has been stated that BIOMEGA is a prequel meant to show the industrialization of the world. This industrialization is evident in NOiSE.
Nihei stated in an interview that Killy is over 3000 years old and he would need to be if his origin preceded NOiSE.

* SPOILER * I heard that Kanoe Zouichi gets lost or swallowed in a massive industrial sector near the end of BIOMEGA (but please don't tell me anything else. I've only read up to chapter 24).

Maybe his body/form sits dormant for a while or activates some sort of Hibernate mode, is used, studied/analyzed by the Safeguard for their soldiers and then reconfigured (his weapons especially. Probably spliced together). But then during the SafeGuard-Silicon-Life war, he disbands.

I don't know. It was just an idea I had.


And to answer the final point, "Names Reused"?!

You've got to be kidding. Sure Nihei uses some ideas that aren't entire his own every now and then (like Zouichi's ability and armor possibly loosely resembling the Master Chief's setup - as Nihei is an avid fan), but if he wanted to come up with the name of some Japanese Megacorporation he could just do it in a flash. He is Japanese after all...

the problem is - that Neither NOiSE nor Blame! are showing much of their world to readers. They're showing us only small part's of them

I did believe that Biomega is pre-prequel of Blame? or prequel of NOiSE, but after reading to chap 28 i have my doubts.

As for using same names, i already pointed an example of using same parts in different worlds (worlds of Final Fantasy)

Yeah, but I think that the BLAME! universe and Final Fantasy are really way to different to reference each other with.

Everything Nihei does that seems like it could be related to this, all takes place in the same rough time setting. The super far distant future.

Whereas chronologically, Final Fantasy is...all over the place.


Also, I only just remembered this, but several members of the DRF use weapons that resemble SafeGuard Swords (Higaide, Udan Rikan, Sadan Rikan).

Unless this is a first, I've never seen Nihei use the same weapon concept in unrelated stories (this also would tie in with Zouichi's gravitational emission pistol if this was the case).

I actually came upon this forum by looking around online to see if anyone else thought Killy and Zouichi might be the same person, but many many years apart - apparently so!

More evidence, perhaps - this image pops up when Killy is in his repair mode...
