Umm... so i have a couple questions revolving around Davinelulinvega: 1. Is Davinelulinvega male or female? in the manga, "he" is clearly male, but in Blame! Academy, "she" is clearly female, wearing a sailor uniform and bloomers. If anyone knows, please tell me, because this confuses me to no end. 2. How do you pronounce his/her name? is it Davine Lu Linvega, as wikipedia says, or is it Davinel Ulinvega, as a couple other sites say? If it's just one huge word, like the way I'm leaving it (mainly because I have no idea how to punctuate it), then how do you pronounce that? 3. Am I just an idiot asking this because Davinelulinvega is supposed to be completely ambiguous? If any of you know, then please tell me! |

1st. In the manga there is no indication towards his gender. He appears male in the net, but that´s only due to her using Ceu´s genes to access. I don´t know how much the Gakuen spoof thingy counts, though. Same with Iko. 2nd. I always go with Davine Lu Linvega, mostly because it´s the easiest to pronounce. 3rd. If you ask, you are not an idiot. Idiots are the ones that don´t ask or take stuff for granted. |

Uh.... Now that you say it silicon creatures have a gender? never heard anything like that before... But remember that gakuen is a comical work, so making Davinelulinvega have female gender may just be a joke too... I like to pronounce it Davinelulinvega all together, sounds more easy that separating its name |

Dunno about gender but Ivy and Maeve look like man and woman to me...(they are so cute.. ahum) Besides i think most silicons evolved from human data, so would have an understanding of gender. that doesnt mean that they would keep to it though! |

Yeah... Ivy and are totally awesome!! But stil...do they have gender?? Maybe In the exterior the may look like they have(concerning breasts) but its a "?".... Silicon creatures evolved from human data? i thouhgt they were a complete different race. |

no think about it. The humans created the net and the megastructure, so the builders who got out of hand worked of human data. that leads to the fact that anything evolving from the megastructure was somehow based on the data from the humans. And if it was totally separate. why do they resemble humans, why not spiders? |

Now i remember that in Blame! vol 1 a silicon creature says that their artificial intelligence cannot understand human feelings, maybe there were created by humans at a certain level in a very distant past? |
