That's exactly what i thought too when I saw it. But not quite BLAME! because it's well... American so it has to have the squared jaw hero. At best we can say the artist is obviously a Nihei fan so he used some of the backgrounds and mechanical monsters. Issue 3 was a major disappointment. Yawn. |

Want something similar to Nihei, look up the new 2012 Prophet series being written by Brandon Graham. The art style is like a copy and so is the story is very similar to Biomega: weird monsters, bizarre battles, quest for something, etc Talkin' 'bout comics, the original Metal Hurlant crowd still tops the list for me. moebius(Jean Giraud RIP), Phillipe Druillet, Rich Corben, Caza, Enki Bilal, Nikollet. It's interesting how Enki Bilal works now resembles Nihei's careless looking sketchy art.
