Hi, I'm an artist by myself, so I boycott reading Nihei's stuff online. I've been doing that after I found out which different effect "real viewing" has. So my question is : Could you forward me to the new releases of Nihei this year in Germany ? |

Well, I can't help you with anything in Germany. I will somewhat agree with you on the reading stuff online. It just isn't the same as reading it published on paper as was intended by the artist. At the same time I counter balance that by the fact that the Japanese get weekly or monthly installments of their manga while the rest of the world has to wait months if not a year for the next collected volume. I know Hellsing is about a year since Dark Horse last published a volume in the US. I caved and read the online translations scanned out of the monlthy Young King Ours. Same with Berserk which is published in Young Animal. Dark Horse is years behind. Then again, I hear the artst on Berserk has been delayed anyway, due to health or just workload. Still, they're on collected volume 30 and we're just seeing volume 11 in the US. I don't know what is published elsewhere in the world. Still I buy the collection volumes when they come out eventually. The art does look more fantastic in the books. Yet the storytelling is made for weekly or monthly chapters published in a magazine. Unfortunately for fans outside of Japan, there is no way to read these unless you get online translations or import the magazine the series is in and can read Japanese. |

There's not much of Nihei being released in the last years, so I'm somehow "forced" to read the new stuff scanned, cause it's far from sure to be published here anyway. When something comes out here, it is bought for sure, but there are only the three Mangas mentioned, to be read here. But there is a Forum where some of the publishers can be asked about their Mangas. Perhaps someday they'll answer our questions for Nihei stuff to be released. I can hardly imagine how many questions the must receive on a daily basis about the next I''s, etc. |
