My thoughts on the last page of BLAME!:
BLAME! is actually supposed to be BLAM! - The noise for shooting a gun. So I took the last page to be Killy ending the BLAME! manga series with a final BLAM! Sort of like summing everything up into one final photo shot. It feels similar to a movie poster; the poster doesn't depict any real scene from the movie, but it gives the viewer a sense of what it's about. So the last page of BLAME! was like a statement saying, "This is BLAME! BLAM!! The End."

Well that was an interesting and open ended end.
Now I know it's wrong, but the thought crossed my mind that the kid with him in the end of the book is also the one in the beginning and there's akinda moebius strip time loop. ..meh.. nah.. just and odd idea.
Also the whole thing with Killy and the sphere heading toward the surface of the water reminded me of Angel's Egg, a 1982 aniamted film by Oshii and Amano. That also had an strange unexplained ending.

You're right about that being wrong.
Firstly, the kid at the end has dark hair, while the one at the beginning had light hair. Strangely enough, it seems the place where Killy is at the beginning is not infected, because otherwise the kid would have to be wearing a hazmat suit like the one at the end in order to not lose the NTGs and die. The Silicon Creatures had to directly infect the kid to get rid of his/her NTGs.
Another detail that caught my attention is that the first log's title and the dialogue between the SCs give me the impression that the kid really did have NTGs, and yet he/she didn't do anything at all with them. Maybe the kid had no idea how to use them, or perhaps Nihei plainly needed a motivation for Killy's quest and thought that was good enough. A speculative explanation for the kid at the end being better than the one at the beginning is that she carries Sanakan's and Cibo's genes, and it seems people in the BLAME! world have managed to encode pretty specific stuff in their genes, so having Sanakan's genes would possibly give her insight on the workings of the Safeguard and Cibo's genes would allow her to tamper with the NetSphere, with the additional benefit of having NTGs that give her complete access to it. If that were so, it is clear (at least to me) that nothing else is required for the elimination of the chaos and the Silicon Creatures, and thus BLAME! ends. Therefore, no weird time looping stuff.

Yeah, I knew I was wrong as soon as I thought it. I basically was doing a 'What If..?' rewriting to the story that actually was there. heh, as if it wasn't already confusing enough.
Though there is at least a themeatic loop, as you pointed out, of Killy protecting a child in the opening and ending of the book. Your sound likeyou have somehting with how this child is more complete for Killy's mission of getting Net Terminal Genes.
Man, I gotta reread Blame!, especially the end. I think I did reread some of it here and there, but not too thoughoughly.

From my understanding, in log 65 p.230 the sphere becomes "active" when Killy floats to the surface.According to the GA said the sphere will only grow in uncontaminated place, I think he has found such place.

but what exactly was in the sphere?
cibo's "child"? i mean, wich meaning has the sphere to killy? he hasn't brought his mission to an end. he hasn't found a person with NTG. (or have i forgotten something important?)
or has cibo's "child" the NTG?

Check out the "Best Character" thread. There're some interesting posts there on this subject by myself and others.
Maybe I should keep my word and actually make that FAQ I had said I would.
