Has anyone noticed, that Nihei didn“t used any tone layers for his prequel? Has he done this on purpose or was it just a tryout? |

yup yup I noticed it, and I think that this was on purpose. Its a bit gothic with this technic, pretty good for NOiSE. |

can anybody explain me what a tone layer is, please? and yes, i see something sligtly different from Blame! preq, and Blame! but i can't it figure quite out. |

Tones are when its shaded with small dots in an even pattern. |

Screen Tones are plastic films with tightly printed patterns of dots that artists apply to work to add value and texture. artificium: Nihei works colors mostly in Acrilic from what I've seen. Nihei's crosshatching has always been expressively strong. I believe that he did Noise! in that way to make it distinct from Blame!. |
