OMG!!! Half of the Earth has been destroy, and remaining atmosphere is thin. Kanoe Fuyu relocated their position. They are now 34Km from original position.

Moreover, Continental Mooring Cable(upper part) is a vast facility. Zouichi and Fuyu are within Area ONE. Its length is 400 million KM! And there are 12 areas in total, that mean the whole length of CMC(Upper) would be 4.8billion KM.

After Zouichi landed at CMC, the style is become more and more Blame!-like. Since all companies are seperated, Zouichi has to make an odyssey for them.

Yes, looks like Zouichi will be wandering in that Bio-Megastructure in a Blame like way for quite a long time. Let´s hope Nihei doesn´t forget to show us what has happened with Nishu, Kozlov, Ion Green, Kaadal and Nyaldee.
By the way, do you think Higaide has survived this holocaust?
The last time we saw him was back in chapter 25 when he defeated Udan Rikan, one of Nyaldee´s personal guard. I hope he´s still alive, he is a very cool character.

Only half of the Earth was destroyed? I thought that the whole planet was consumed by that thing... not that it really matters, everyone must be dead by now. =D

But that thing really have a bio-megastructure feeling and I really believe that it will later become the Megastructure that we know, with that white thing being it's skeleton or something like that. Did you see that are some machinery in that structure? Maybe in some time in the future the builders will appear...

Anyway, Zouchi is in the worst possible place and time for someone to be. =D

I looked it up: the distance earth to mars is between 45,5 and 401,3 million km. So it is possible, that this cable reaches to the red planet (where everything started...)


And again its time to ask: IS this world the pre- blame! world (with toha and some pre- megastrukture) or not just a very similar one? Because everyone seems to be dead.
Or are there any last survivors on the other side of the earth and are they the ones, who will go into the netsphere, because life on earth isnt possible anymore?

I think, it is at least possible for Higaide to survive this event. He seems to have a rough nature Its up to Nihei, if he wants to let him live...

I'm wondering about one thing.... I'm sure some of you know is Biomega set before Noise?

If Biomega is part of Blame!'s universe then it happens before Noise, because Noise is post-megastructure but pre-netsphere collapse.

If that white thing really has 4,8billion km, that means 32 AU (astronomical units), so it goes past Neptune orbit (30 AUs when most distante), but not reaches Pluto (39 AU). And if this data is really correct I think that it maybe will encircle Earth and become the Megastructure, because in Blame! the Megastructure goes up to Jupiter's orbit, and only because it was out of control. So in the beginning it must has to be near Earth... But in Noise there was still a Moon... something with that mass would be impossible not to consume the moon or ateleast put it in an orbit very far away from its original place...

And about the human race: if there were some survivors I think that they will have sufficient technology to recreate a whole human race from it.... But only with this is really in Blame!'s univerese...

Let's no come a conclusion so quickly. We dont have sufficient evidences to prove that BIOMEGA and Blame!'s story happen in a same universe.

Besides, there are still some undone puzzles. Why did the reverse-phase imaging polymer only consume half of the Earth? What about the other half? Are the successful combination of ovule and Nyaldee's pollen means that the whole thing cant be unmaked? What is the use of Ion Grean? How can Narain-the synthetic cure those drones? Moreover, the Kozlov Bear is not yet tell us all the truth......

Anyway,Zouichi and his partners would seek for a solution for these questions. Perhaps the answer is already there.

In my own opinin, Nihei wouldnt prison himself in the Megastructure world all the time. I adore his story beacause the feeling of no boundary, feeling of different. He created megastruture in Blame!, and it end with the story. Now we are in BIOMEGA, a whole new story, a whole new world. Let's see it as a different work.Do not try to make any connection between two worlds.

You're correct, there is little, if none, evidence to make any real correlation between the two worlds. There is a lot of unfinished and unsolved things in both stories for almost any possibility be true, they being related or not. But the thing that I think is really fun, is to think "what if the two stories are conected?" How could Biomega's world, that is so different of that of Blame, become the Megastructure and other things?

I think that there is no problem in Nihei revisiting the idea of Megastructure, simply because, depending how the facts of Biomega are developed he can recreate the Megastructure, he can put it in another perspective and then everything will be different and the Megastructure in Biomega will be no more that of Killy... For example: what is outside de Megastructure? What if there is more than one Megastructure in the solar system? And what happens there? Only by this many things could be different...

But if the two worlds are completely apart, its okay. The fact is that Nihei really knows how to create strange and unique worlds, with Megastructure or not, and if there is more of then, all the better. But the fact is that if he is back to the old Megastructure this doesn't mean that he can't create... the Megastructure wasn't finished with Blame, no way. It is more like a mutitude of worlds than only one... and Nihei is really capable of making something new from it, and that I would like to see...

But the questions you did about Biomega are the most relevant for the story now, but at the same time we don't have enough information about how Biomega's world functions to give any answer, so I prefer, for now, to think how those facts can be put in Blame's world... But it is only one of many possible views, only that, and with the future developments of the story they can be more pertinent or not, the only thing we could do is to wait. And sorry if this post is a little confuse. =D
