The kid is a NTG carrier (this makes sense huh?). But he is given a disease by the silicon creatures which makes his genes impure. Then at the end of the series SPOILER When killy manages to get the person born from the Sanakan/Cibo egg. He's protected with a suit to ensure that he won't be affected by the disease. END SPOILER Sort of Speculation I read. |

@ Analog This has indeed been speculated before. The company that even produced the OVA's thought something like this. The only problem with it is that since it continues from this point telling the story up until BLAME! 10 when it ends, then that would mean that the story was in a continuous loop and prequels and sequels like BIOMEGA, NOiSE and NSE could never happen. Sorry, but I disagree with your theory. |

Please forgive the double posting but: I believe the child was one of the last remaining NTG carriers (Seu possibly being another one). The child dies and becomes tainted so the genes can only be used as a sample. Eventually leading to the final events of Blame!. |
