Wow, great stuff. I'm curious, about how long did each take you and what techniques did you use? Did you sketch them out in black and white first, or leap right in?

thanks a lot, guys!
The first one took me something like 5 hours...
but the 2nd was done comparatively much faster (which I was surprised about myself): 3.5 hours.
all painted from scratch in PS 7, no pencil sketch or whatever. Started with blocking in colours, adding details as I went along.
Hehe, indeed, I have already published my own Blame inspired manga in Germany...

Hideyoshi: Been meaning to ask you, what sort of workflow do you use for visualising a piccie? I struggle to get the shapes I want onto canvas and I figure there's something fundamental I've yet to grasp.

I envy you and your straight lines. I'm surprised the first took longer, organic shapes are far easier for me personally to draw.
