thanks a lot, guys! The first one took me something like 5 hours... but the 2nd was done comparatively much faster (which I was surprised about myself): 3.5 hours. all painted from scratch in PS 7, no pencil sketch or whatever. Started with blocking in colours, adding details as I went along. Hehe, indeed, I have already published my own Blame inspired manga in Germany...

Hideyoshi: Been meaning to ask you, what sort of workflow do you use for visualising a piccie? I struggle to get the shapes I want onto canvas and I figure there's something fundamental I've yet to grasp.

I envy you and your straight lines. I'm surprised the first took longer, organic shapes are far easier for me personally to draw. |
