Alas, it would be a lot easier to comment if I could see what it was that required commenting on

do you mean you can't see them?
I don't know what's the problem, I uploaded em 2 times and they keep disappearing!
ok I'll edit the post and link directly to Deviant Art to avoid this
does it work now?

Ah see em now.
Looking good for your first blats in the app
I'd suggest at this stage going over the top with brights and darks and define some directional lighting. Remember those shiny bits, those are going to be real handy to bounce light off and feed more color onto your subjects.
On your first attemp, the dude's arm is a little short. you can sort that early on or revise that part later, it doesn't matter too much unless you intend to do a BG.
On the second, you really want to pull out the detail on the head, particularily the eye socket with some shadows and highlights. If you drop the head even lower on the body as if he's leaning forward you'll get an even more dramatic pose.
Righto, that's me

thanks for the reply and critic, they're always welcome.
these 2 are just "tests" anyway, it's my first attempt in digital art. I really feel much more confortable with pen and paper but I've got no scanner
I'll post sumthin if I manage to buy/steal one

It will get easier in time. Think of it as learning a new way of drawing; can't be a bad thing!
