a few days ago i dug a folder named 'tsutomu nihei' out of my hard drive. it'd been a couple years since i read blame, so i got all exited and submerged myself in it. ah, tsutomu nihei. your lonely, cavernous mechanical landscapes are second to none. now i really wanna find some scanlations for the rest of abara.

so then i sat down and did some doodles. naturally, blame worked its way in just a wee little bit. maybe later i'll draw something more specific, like some silicon life or perhaps even make a kickass 3D model of cibo. but for now i just made a couple transhuman-ish drawrins.





that's all folks. i'll probably be coming back to haunt your scrollbars with more pretty soon.

The pencilwork is very strong and the choice of media that you've done the art on is excellent! Brings out the work very well. The proportions on your girl are a little sketchy expecially in the hip area. The flexibility of her shoulders is most impressive O_O I'm inclined to say that in her standing pose her left hand should be passing underneath her right to make it look a little more "natural" (Such may or may not apply in this case of course).

I really enjoy how you've described anatomical details like the ribs, clavicles and upper leg muscles in mech form. The solutions are very elegant.

The linear massing of the forearms is an interesting idea indeed. Gives an unexpected point of focus.

The weirdhead would look even meaner painted up
