I don't know if this counts b/c it's mostly images and articles on them, but the last thing I've read on that I would call a book was Dictator Style by Peter York. It features some really funky stuff on some highly recognized dictators throughout history. Here's an example on Josip 'Tito' Brotz: ( Man, it looks like the cover of Beck or Butthole Surfers album... ) It's a little bit outdated though, it came out on 2k6 and they hadn't listed Saddam Hussein ( who was apparently a huge fan of Heavy Metal ) as dead. Not big into sci-fi books, I know I should be but it just takes time for me to get into even reading a normal book for that matter. Political stuff just always grabs my attention. Though I did once started reading Ubik by Phillip K. Dick and found a few things real interesting as I started reading it, but never tried to finish it. |
