Gantz is simply great, the first time I read it I was a little bit shocked with the grafic violence but as I read more and more I just began to love this manga(just like the first time I read Goth), it is TOO GOOD!!!! it has a lot of the elements I like in a manga:
Explicit nudity, violence and dark story.
As for the Anime part, I didn't find it a big surprise, I had the opportunity to watch some episodes that were uncensored(I think... at least It showed woman breasts XD), but I prefer the manga version to the anime anyways...
