It DOES seem like they have something going on between them, but it's pretty hard to imagine.

They may not be a friend but it seem Sanakan scan Killy and found him look like a malfunction safeguard so she try to restore him by inject a lot of firmware upgrade to him. This firmware only upgrade Killy function but not turn him to be a safeguard so she surprise with this result.

I Really don't think there's nothing going on between Killy and Sanakan, it's all misunderstanig regarding the first post.

As i know both of them are safeguards, right? Both from the netsphere but with different missions. Killy for example has a delete of his registry (as said iko) and in volume 2 him is stated as a secret agent from netshpere to collect genes. Also the safeguards are not like humans that have a past or somethin', they're just sintetic humans that pass for a program to form a natural personality (as seen in Biomega)so the fact that they're related is far from reality...

And if we think a bit deeply Killy cannot use his scan 'till that safeguard nearly killed him and after that he could tell that sanakan was dangerous, but still why she kind of worries for him? Maybe it's 'cause they're both safeguards?
