I was so bored yesterday I decided to d/l this even though I knew I wasn't gonna like it. But that comic strip of Nihei as a centipede wearing a hoodie at the end has kept me from deleting it. Anyone care to translate that?

I'll do a brief one... [narration] "what nihei said"

"The next manga will be a robot story...I should be thinking about a robot for the protagnist..."

"Robots created with 3DCG..OK I'll do this. It'd speed up my drawing if I had a 3D model"

[so I went to bought some 3D software and tutorial book and start doing the aeroplane...(cost him an entire day)]

"The wing isn't straight... This isn't going to work, just creating a model for a robot would cost me a year..." (and entering axis, refining, rendering...

[as a matter of fact I'm not even using most of the functionality in photoshop, which I've been using for years. 3D graphics is too much. I'll do the same thing as I did with Biomega]

"I went to a model shop near by and bought lots of plastic models"

[I bought lots of white plastic kits and builds as I cut them into pieces]

[sometimes I'll buy an entire kit for a joint to buy an entire kit]

[I found out this later that I called my editor and told them that I finished, and they thought I finished the draft]

[However, all they sau is a thirty some-year old guy in a totaly gross room, with mountains of pieces of plastic, about to show off a plastic robot]

[two months before the deadline, I haven't done even one page for the draft of sidonia no kishi]
