I think mainly what ever music you enjoy listening to can fit the manga because different people read it in different ways.
Maybe some people listen to this type of music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkKn5HrKgHQ and imagine Killy as a old cowboy trapping through the mega structure with trusty anti matter pistol trying to save his girl cibo fighting from evil silcon bandits. haha

Hello, I jump in into this discussion!
I tried lots of bands and I think that the following are the best for Blame! :
- [Drone Metal, someone suggested Drone before in this topic...]
- [a mix of Doom Metal and Electronic, listen to "Temple of Juno" and love them all!]
Also, things from NIN, ISIS and Godflesh could fit pretty well... But the bands above are the best in my opinion...
