the following – IMHO. Don’t forget it.
I am still not a happy owner of the BIOMEGA volume, but wish to be one. I doesn’t matter.
My attitude to this piece of work based on the first 2 chapters available on the NET. I AM disappointed. Even not a bit… most likely - deeply disappointed. Generally with the drawing. (yes, I am a drawing geek.) It’s far away from NOISE or middle BLAME!, or at least the 10th BLAME!(to my mind, the worst part of the entire net-gene-searching story). Characters look rough and not gentle (as they used to be in previous works), that’s why this little blondie can’t be compared to Cibo, a perfect woman . OK, that’s a pre-story, this guy and his talking bike (say hello to Kino!) are from THA(if really), that brings back memories and causes joy to me (hey! A good move! He’ll be not lonely during his trip…business trip. It would be a wise step to apply some small AI to Killy’s GBE!), but drawing! What an ugly (bad-guy?) appeared(at the door of the bears’ house)?! Past silicons were stylish and what’s that? I can’t help. Nihei-san, you deserve thrashing!
Maybe later I’ll rethink, but now… I AM HAPPY that Nihei presented smth to us, fans!
Ps and when I am looking at this walking bear… I anticipate several dancing and singing Gypsies with ‘balalaika’s to appear. You understand… association. Bad of me.

Yep, Biomega seems like a flop to me too. The art really doesn't look good enough. The bear is a totally useless move, the infected look like cheap zombies from a B-movie...
*sigh*
I think Nihei is just tired. One could notice that in the last logs of Blame! too...

Well, I think it's fine. I like the out of context setting for this massive Zombie infestation. In most stories the Zombie infestation doesn't spread out of the country. I also think the butcher and that weird mummy lady are intresting new designs from him. He has finally coming up with a few new character types.

I am an unhappy owner of the 1st BIOMEGA volume now. And finally I accumulated a certain kind of affection towards the work. I dont like it and I doubt i'll change my mind in the future. Agree with July absolutely (100%). Nothing to add.
...but I like the bear! He's so...genuine.
ps tastes differ.
