Not really, no. When Cibo was in backup Cyberspace, the Safeguard caught on, and tried to kill her. Somewhere in the process of which, Cibo was somehow able to access the primary control system in charge of that battle, via one of her would-be assasins, (Probably due to her link with Killy) and transfer her consciousness there. From that position, she was able to disrupt the functioning of the safeguard attack, at least for a time, till she got forced back out. (Probably by Sanakan's personality) and the external battle resumed. However, Cibo's consciousness hadnt been extinguished, and after the battle, was able to solidify in Sanakan's body. Yet again, a case of 2 personalities in one body, which lead to the wierdness of Cibo melting, and regaining control once inside Toha heavy Industries.

I really hope you arent talking about Cibo becoming the Level 9, cause if you are, I just wasted a lot of breath.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I read Blame mostly between the hours of 1:00 and 4:00 AM, so most of the time I spent asking the question "What am I looking at?" Rather than "What is going on in the story?" I think its interesting that the story mostly came together after I finished reading. Then I spent a month in New Zealand, surrounded by bright, sunny, festivities, and I couldnt get Blame out of my head.
