Some of Apochalyptica is right for it.
I think the general consensus favors a little Psi, a little DnB, some metal and a lot of noise.
Taku Iwasaki or Tsuneo Imahori sounds about right for the job.
IMO Blame! Is deserved of original tracks

I think Monolake would be good music for Blame.
Their music is a little bit minimal and deep techno in the same time.
That's how they sound like (but its the only track I could find online) -->

play some ethereal (and very psycodelic) rock... very nice for the trip parts and the scnenery in the manga.

I think good soundrack to Blame! will be with some songs of Nine Inch Nails, Placebo, Tool, Massive Attack or Deftones.
