I think it's because most everything that can be said about Blame has already been said and discussed here, or on previous forums (toha heavy industries). Unless someone is willing to perform a serious lit-crit deconstruction on it (and you know which type of hell that will lead to), it's "been there, done that" for most people here, and fairly lightweight series like NSE or Biomega just don't fill the hole left by Blame. The mega-hole from the GBE, that is.
Yeah, I'll have to chime in with some criticism of Biomega. It started well, with some neat background work in the 9JO sections, but recently it's just been one mindless fight scene after another. It's definitely geared towards the shounen crowd, and it suffers as a result of it.

well blame! felt kind of shounen to in some parts.
ofcourse, it had a less percentage of that as it was much longer.

Relax, you're not alone. You can still get the (somewhat pricey) artbook online. I'd have ordered it already, but I'm too cheap and lazy to do it at the moment. Also, I don't know where I'd put all the crap I have anyway, since I share my tiny dormroom with someone else and I have no car here in California.
But this forum needs new people like yourself to talk about something. Also, when everyone else on the forum has read all of Blame! and you haven't....yeah, it's hard to contribute anything meaningful to a conversation about the manga.
