It´s the end of Log. 42 that bugs me. Why did Killy receive coordinates from the gouverment agency about a Safeguard room location? Killy, (we already know that he is some sort of special Safeguard) is able to access this room. But it seems that there are only "normal" guns, no GBE or something - so what about it? Is this room meant to be for such agents like Killy?

Could it be, that the guy that blew a hole in Killy´s head was also a special agent, at least he doesn´t seem very Safeguard-like (but he has the insignia)? And Killy´s headwound looks like the one the Silicon had beneath that room.

Next weird thing - what about that room, that Killy found in that weapon locker? I mean it looked really strange, but i couldn´t imagine something. Maybe it´s the birthplace of a Safeguard or special agent...

i think nihei was tripping on acid when he drew that and couldn't remember what he wanted to tell with it so he changed the whole story in order to bypass this glitch.

Ok, in answer to your questions, these are some speculations I came up with the second time I read BLAME!.

1) That was a Safeguard Armory. The Governing Agency sometimes work in cohesion with the Safeguard so I think it's natural to assume that they know where some of the SG resources are. It could have even been an outpost that Dhomo and Iko might have been seperated from.

2) The Silicon Creature with its head blown out in that chapter had most likely been killed by the security system. If you remember, a beam flew out at a high speed and entered Killy's retina. It approved him as a "Safeguard" because they do not reject him when scanning (because he is so similar). If it had rejected him, it would have probably reached an offensive power level and detonated his head like the SC.

3) Maybe that's like a gestator or an incubator for newly created Special Safeguards. But it can no longer be used since Davinel had taken control of the resource download towers.
