I never had that thought before, and don't remember reading anything similar (or I just dismissed the thought ?), though the "shockwave sword" always kind of "ticked", and I don't like to draw far-fetched connexions that much, but could Clauser be Dhomochewsky, and Pcell be Musubi ?

Musubi, sort of human/safeguard hybrid, would've grown bored of being alone in a humanless world, admits defeat, and eventually turns herself to the silicon life side, while Clauser's soul/mind/whatever, after some time on the network, eventually disappears (=dies for Musubi) but is in fact retrieved to be some kind of "mid level" safeguard (I mean lower than Sanakan).

Which would explain why zillion of years later, he hesitates to shoot on Pcell, not even knowing why, just his long-forgotten human-self playing tricks on his safeguard-self.

Did I miss the train and this idea was thoroughly analysed and debated before ? Do you think it has any kind of value ?

I'd have given your theory more credibility if Pcell was a safeguard and Dhomo was a silicone creature. I understand various personalities can be mixed and matched and used again but I don't think they change sides completely without a reason. Plus Musubi didn't love clauser, she probably liked him as a partner but nothing romantic was hinted at.

the only plausible connection i can think of is that of the sword. in my world of blame! the safeguard sword is unique, and since Musubi doesn't have it anymore she has either been killed by Pcell or some gnarly silicon creature or lost it due to some other weird happenstance. who knows, the megastructure is HUGE, so she may still be wandering around there somewhere
